Oakes Field Kart Racing Center is a locally developed motorsports initiative dedicated to growing recreational kart racing and creating new opportunities for motorsport enthusiasts in The Bahamas.
Our mission
Our goal is to make karting more accessible, bring people together through racing, and create a fun, high-quality outdoor experience for families, friends, first-time drivers, and experienced racers alike.
OFKRC is focused on:

Working toward the development of a permanent karting facility in the future
The current facility was built locally using more than 2,000 recycled tires, combining practical track construction with a commitment to sustainability and responsible reuse of materials.
At its core, OFKRC is about creating a place where people can experience the excitement of racing, challenge themselves, spend time together, and become part of a growing motorsport community.

Heritage
Experience the enduring spirit of motorsport at Oakes Field, a place with deep roots in Nassau’s racing history. From the legendary Nassau Speed Weeks to the international karting events of the late 1950s, Oakes Field became part of an era that brought drivers, competition, and motorsport culture to The Bahamas.
Today, that legacy continues through kart racing. Every lap reflects the same qualities that have always defined the sport — skill, competition, precision, and passion — while introducing a new generation of drivers to the excitement of racing.
