Youth & Community Programs
At Oakes Field Kart Racing Center, we believe motorsport can offer more than recreation. Karting introduces young people to concentration, discipline, decision-making, coordination, responsibility, and respect for safety—all within an engaging and memorable environment.
Through our community initiatives, we welcome opportunities to work with schools, youth organizations, nonprofit groups, educational programs, and community partners throughout The Bahamas to make karting more accessible to young people.
Programs may be organized as introductory karting experiences, structured group sessions, or community racing events depending on the needs, age group, and objectives of the participating organization.
Participants can be introduced to the fundamentals of karting, including:
• Kart controls and basic driving technique
• Track awareness and racing etiquette
• Safety procedures and flag signals
• Following instructions and making decisions under changing conditions
• Building confidence and improving skills through supervised track time
• Sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect for other drivers
All activities are conducted with appropriate safety procedures, including helmet use, safety briefings, track supervision, and placement on the appropriate circuit according to driver requirements.
Creating Access to Motorsport
Our goal is to give more young people in The Bahamas the opportunity to experience motorsport in a positive, structured environment—whether they are discovering karting for the first time or developing a deeper interest in racing.
Community and youth sessions are considered individually based on group size, participant requirements, scheduling, track availability, and the purpose of the program.
